Every Wednesday, FOX Sports North takes a look at which athletes' stock is trending up and whose is trending down.
In other words, who is making a meteoric rise, and who is quickly plummeting.
With that in mind, let's "take stock" of the current sports scene in Minnesota, shall we?
Jason Zucker, Wild left wing
Zucker nearly doubled his season point total last week, accumulating a goal and four assists in the four games. The four-game point streak is his longest since having a seven-game streak from Oct. 22-Nov. 5, 2015. Zucker also was a plus-4 for the week raising his season total to a plus-12, which is tops on the Wild.
Zach LaVine, Wolves guard
After scoring 37 points against Orlando on Nov. 9, LaVine had gone into something of a slump. But he busted out of it in a big way, especially in the last two games. Against Golden State, LaVine made 13 of 24 shots (54.9 percent) and scored 31 points, then vs. Utah he had 28 points, eight rebounds and eight assists and made 9 of 17 shots (52.9 percent).
Devan Dubnyk, Wild goalie
In case you haven't noticed, Dubnyk is having a stellar season. In his three starts last week, Dubnyk had a .933 save percentage and 1.96 goals-against average -- and that actually hurt his season averages (which are now at .946 and 1.66)!
Jason Castro, Twins catcher
Three years, $24.5 million. Not bad, not bad at all.
Darcy Kuemper, Wild goalie
On the flip side of Dubnyk is Kuemper, who allowed five goals against Vancouver on Tuesday and has given up five goals twice and three goals twice in his five starts. The backup owns an .897 save percentage and 3.36 goals-against average.
Brandon Rush Wolves guard
The offseason acquisition hasn't played much since the season's first five games (when he was in double digits in minutes each contest). Rush appeared in three of Minnesota's four games last week but didn't exactly fill up the stat sheet. Rush hasn't scored a point since Nov. 1, when he had nine of his 14 on the season.
