For the third time, Michigan is going to be playing under the Big House lights this fall.
It's not going to be Notre Dame in early September, though. The Wolverines announced Monday that they will play at night on Oct. 11 against Penn State.
"The night game atmosphere created by our fans has been electric and we expect that same type of energy for our first-ever conference night game against Penn State," Brady Hoke said in a statement. "Our players really enjoy playing in primetime at Michigan Stadium."
Athletic director Dave Brandon had said in the past that he was leery about playing Big Ten games at night, because of the increased possibility of inclement weather, but Michigan is going to roll the dice this season.
