In his 10-year head coaching career, Urban Meyer has established himself as one of the best in all of college football. That is particularly true when the Gator head coach has extra time to get his team ready for a game.
When the Gators take to the field in Jacksonville to face Georgia on October 30, it will be the 35th time that Meyer has had more than a week to prepare for a contest. His record in those situations is a remarkable 31-3.
Since become the Florida coach for the 2005 season Meyer has been in that situation 16 times and won 15 of them. The games that include extra time to prepare include season openers, bowl games and games following off weeks.
