The Phoenix Mercury waived guard Andrea Riley on Sunday.
Riley, a 5-foot-5 guard, appeared in nine games for the Mercury this season and averaged 2.8 points in 9.1 minutes per game.
The Mercury have played most of the season without star guard Diana Taurasi, who has an injured hip flexor, but have a monthlong break coming up from July 13-August 16 during the Olympics.
