Meet bizarro Kershaw with a fake beard in Ryu's noodle commercial

It's a dark day for Los Angeles Dodgers Nation following the team's elimination from the playoffs Tuesday night, thanks to a three-run blast by Cardinals first baseman Matt Adams in the seventh inning of a decisive Game 4 of the NLDS.

The good news for Dodgers fans and people who enjoy absurdities is this commercial (top of the page) by South Korean-based foodmaker Ottogi, starring LA starting pitcher Hyun-jin Ryu with a badly casted and poorly costumed version of Dodgers ace Kershaw.

I don’t speak Korean, but I believe the general premise is that Ryu throws a changeup and eats some instant noodles after the viewer is led to believe that he will throw an off speed pitch. Brilliant.

In additon to the six-inches-too-short and fake-bearded Kershaw, enjoy Fake Don Mattingly with facial hair that doesn’t quite match, and catcher A.J. Ellis, who is actually a pretty good stand in for the real deal. At the very end of the commercial watch the camera widen to reveal the arm and hand of a darker skinned player taking part in the noodle fun. I’m guessing it's supposed to be Juan Uribe or Yasiel Puig. That’s open for your interpretation.
