Two of the state's top teams meet Thursday evening in the Fox Sports Ohio Game of the Week. Canton McKinley will take to the road to face Canton GlenOak in the 7 p.m. contest. For McKinley, their undefeated record will be on the line against 5-1 GlenOak, as both teams are battling for the Federal League title.
Eric Glover-Williams leads McKinley, and the sophomore quarterback is setting rushing records in his first year as a starter. Glover-Williams is one of the top 2015 prospects in Ohio, combining great speed with excellent balance. He is a threat to score from anywhere on the field.
The Bulldog defense is led by senior three-star recruit Antoine Miles, who has been impressive from his defensive end spot. Miles holds offers from the likes of Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and West Virginia, and could be making his college choice shortly. Junior linebacker Jamal Davis is another defender to keep an eye on.
For GlenOak, the offense revolves around senior quarterback Reid Worstell and senior offensive tackle Steve Mathie. Both players hold MAC offers, and Mathie is in his third year as a starter on the offensive line.
Senior defensive back Tyler Lancaster keys the Golden Eagle defense, and he might be the top cover cornerback in the state. Lancaster is also receiving college interest.
If past meetings are any indication, this Thursday's game will be a hard-hitting, physical game, and probably on the low-scoring side.
