Mbah a Moute has successful knee surgery
After missing 19 games due to right knee soreness and tendonitis last season, Milwaukee Bucks forward Luc Mbah a Moute underwent successful knee surgery to address patellar tendonitis, Bucks GM John Hammond announced on Friday.
A defensive stopper the Bucks sorely needed down the stretch, Mbah a Moute started 22 games last season and averaged a career-high 7.7 points, while shooting a career-best 51 percent from the floor. He also added 5.5 rebounds per game to the Bucks attack.
And with forward Carlos Delfino's contract up, leaving him an unrestricted free agent, Mbah a Moute could be in line to receive more minutes next season. Now, with a successful surgery on his ailing knee, Mbah a Moute is expected to be ready for training camp in October, the Bucks said in a press release.
