Mayweather-Pacquiao prop bets: Bieber's shades, Foxx's anthem, Derby winner
Only the biggest of sporting events bring out the ludicrous proposition bets. And so it is for the Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao fight.
Online gambling sites are taking bets on Mayweather pal Justin Bieber's accoutrements, such as whether the Biebs wears a hat or sunglasses. (The shades are heavily favored — you have to bet $380 to win $100.) The over/under on Jamie Foxx's rendition of the national anthem is 1 minute, 34 seconds, with the odds the same both ways.
With Saturday also being the day of the Kentucky Derby as well as the fight, Las Vegas will combine the two for you. One of the entries at Churchill Downs is named Itsaknockout. He's a long shot at 30-1, but you can bet on a Derby win by Itsaknockout combined with a knockdown in the bout. That's 66-1. Shorter odds are a combination of the two favorites, Mayweather and American Pharoah, at 4-1.
Odds that Bieber accompanies Mayweather while riding a horse that's wearing blinkers? We'll check on that.
