Matt Kemp fulfilled a lifelong dream this week prior to the Los Angeles Dodgers' game against the Angels.

And no, it had nothing to do with baseball.

Kemp teamed up with Abby — Abby Cadabby the Muppet, that is — to film a segment for "Sesame Street" that is set to air this Thursday.

"This is a show I grew up watching as a kid," Kemp told ESPN. "To be a part of it now will be something I'll remember for a long, long, long time. I was a big Elmo fan so doing interviews with Elmo was really fun."

Kemp, who recently honored his grandparents with a massive tattoo and is set to become one of the faces on Big League Chew, showed off his softer side in the segment, helping explain the meaning of the word "attach."

Kemp made his spring debut on March 1 and is one of many Dodgers hoping to stay healthy in the long term after undergoing shoulder surgery this offseason.
