The Miami Marlins' young pitchers continue to impress, and not just at the major league level.

Justin Nicolino, a left-hander acquired in the big offseason trade with the Toronto Blue Jays, was named Florida State League Pitcher of the Year on Wednesday.

The league announced its 2013 All-Star Team based on voting by managers, official scorers and media. The FSL regular season concludes Sept. 1.

Before being promoted to Double-A Jacksonville of the Southern League, Nicolino was 5-2 with a 2.23 ERA for Class A Jupiter. He walked 18 and struck out 64 in 96 2/3 innings in the FSL.

Nicolino, 21, was 3-2 with a 5.52 ERA through his first six starts with Jacksonville.

Jupiter reliever Nick Wittgren (2-1, 0.86 ERA in 46 games) and center fielder Brent Keys (2-32-.349) also were named to the FSL All-Star Team.

St.Lucie Mets outfielder Dustin Lawley was named FSL Player of the Year.
