Manziel targeted in questionable lawsuit
The latest bit of Johnny Manziel "news" goes in the realm of the totally ridiculous.
A defendant claiming to be CNN contributor Samantha Schacher recently filed a $25 million lawsuit in Florida against Manziel for sexual harassment, asking for a temporary restraining order with claims that would appear to be fabricated -- and most of them aren't appropriate for this website.
This is a real claim, though -- three pages filed in the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida, on May 2, with a return address of the publically available address of CNN. It hit the World Wide Web and Twitter on Friday morning.
Manziel's agent, Erik Burkhardt, wrote on his Twitter account: "This joke 'lawsuit' is obviously 1000000% fake and/ or frivolous. Embarrassing I even have say this after reading the nonsense."
Fame has a price, but in this case it won't be $25 million.
It's 100% a hoax people, the serial filer's name is Jonathan Lee Riches: http://t.co/GdDwW7AdlC
