A Pop Warner football team's first practice at the Manatee Y in Bradenton, Fla., turned deadly when a man was targeted and fatally shot, according to a report from ABC Action News in Tampa.
Bradenton Police told ABC Action News that around 8 p.m. Thursday multiple gunmen walked up to the practice fields at the Manatee Y and went straight for Brenton Coleman Sr., 40. Police say in the report that Coleman tried to run away but after a short chase was shot multiple times by one of the masked gunmen.
At the time of the ABC Action News report, it was unclear if Coleman was a coach or just a spectator.
