ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Orlando Magic will be without rookie guard Devyn Marble for the next four to six weeks after he suffered a detached retina in his left eye.

"I'm not sure when it happened or how it happened," coach James Borrego said before the Magic's game Wednesday night against the Phoenix Suns.

Marble has appeared in 16 games this season, including seven starts, but hasn't played for the Magic since Jan. 25. He was assigned twice in the past month to the Erie BayHawks of the NBA Development League. Borrego said that when Marble last came back from Erie, he claimed to be having problems with the eye that he thought might have had to do with his contact lenses.

A late second-round pick out of Iowa last June, Marble is averaging 2.3 points and 1.9 rebounds for the Magic and 13 points and 5.2 rebounds in six games for the BayHawks.

In addition to Marble, the Magic will be without guards Evan Fournier (sore right hip) and Luke Ridnour (strained right hamstring) against the Suns. Rookie forward Aaron Gordon has been activated after missing two games with a sprained right ankle.
