Concerns about whether four-star receiver Monty Madaris was having second thoughts about his verbal commitment to Michigan State can be put to rest.

Michigan State announced Thursday morning, a day after National Signing Day, that it had received Madaris' official letter of intent.

Madaris is ranked as the No. 159 player overall and No. 26 receiver by Scout.com.

"Monty is an outstanding athlete who attended our camp twice," MSU coach Mark Dantonio said. "He’s a big-bodied wide receiver who reminds me of B.J. Cunningham. He possesses raw speed and is very instinctive. He’s also tough and an outstanding blocker.

"He was one of the top players in Cincinnati in one of the most competitive conferences in the nation. Monty is the third player that we’ve recruited from Moeller High School -- the past two (Greg Jones, Marcus Rush) have been great ones."

All 18 of Michigan State's verbal commitments have now signed.

The Spartans' recruiting class is ranked No. 36 nationally by Scout.com, third-best in the Big Ten behind Ohio State (No. 3) and Michigan (No. 4).
