PRESCOTT VALLEY (AP) -- Eric Platt scored 16 points and Cameron Jones added 13 to lead Northern Arizona to a 74-46 victory over Alabama State on Tuesday night.

Gabe Rogers finished with 12 points and Stallon Saldivar had a career-high 11 assists for the Lumberjacks (1-2), who avoided their first 0-3 start since the 1994-95 season.

Kaylim Noel led the Hornets (0-3) with 13 points off the bench and Patrick Davis added 12. It marked the first time Alabama State has had a double-digit scorer this season.

Northern Arizona shot 60 percent (9 of 15) from 3-point range, led by Platt (4 for 6) and Rogers (4 for 5).

The Hornets shot just 30 percent from the floor and had 21 turnovers and just 15 field goals.

Yavapai College hosted the game, marking Northern Arizona's first in-state, neutral-site game in 12 years.
