ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) Lost Bus won the $200,000 Santa Monica Stakes for older fillies and mares by a head over Finest City, and then survived a foul claim on Saturday at Santa Anita.
Ridden by Fernando Perez, Lost Bus ran seven furlongs in 1:21.78 and paid $131.20, $42.20 and $14.80 at 60-1 odds, making the 4-year-old filly the longest shot in the field.
Finest City returned $10.60 and $6.80. Tara's Tango was another neck back in third and paid $4.60 to show.
Corey Nakatani, aboard Finest City, lodged a claim of foul against Lost Bus and Perez, but the stewards made no changes to the order of finish.
