Ohio State's loss at Wisconsin Saturday has cost the Buckeyes the No. 1 spot in both national polls.
The Buckeyes slip to No. 2 in the new Associated Press Top 25 Poll and No. 3 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll.
It's very close at the top in both polls. Kansas, No. 2 last week, moves up to No. 1 despite getting one fewer AP first-place vote than No. 3 Texas, which handed Kansas its only loss three weeks ago.
Ohio State and Kansas are each 24-1.
Texas (22-3) got 23 first-place votes from the AP, Kansas got 22, Ohio State 14 and No. 4 Pitt got six. Ohio State was a unanimous No. 1 in each of the last two weeks, getting all 65 first-place votes.
The Buckeyes got three of the 31 first-place votes in the coaches' poll. Duke rounds out the top five in both polls.
Following a big week that included road wins at Georgia and Duquesne, Xavier enters the AP Poll at No. 24. Both Xavier and Cleveland State received votes in the coaches' poll but did not crack the top 25.
