Logano Outduels Penske Teammate To Win At Chicagoland

Joey Logano bested Penske Racing teammate Sam Hornish Jr. late in Sunday's NASCAR Nationwide Series STP 300 to win at Chicagoland Speedway.

Logano, the sole Sprint Cup regular in the race, managed to snag the lead away from Hornish Jr. on the final restart with 15 to go and held on to claim his 20th career Nationwide victory.

Hornish Jr. stayed ahead of Austin Dillon to finish second, giving Penske Racing the top two spots. Dillon's third place finish earned him a $100,000 bonus thanks to Nationwide Insurance's Dash 4 Cash program. Elliott Sadler and Brian Vickers rounded out the top five.

Regan Smith, who led the points entering Sunday's race, fought an ill-handling car throughout the race and would finish 13th, dropping him to second in points. He now trails Hornish Jr. by seven as the series heads to Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
