Lions confirm 9:30 a.m. kickoff in London next season
It will be Breakfast with the Lions again next season.
The Detroit Lions have confirmed that their game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Nov. 1 from Wembley Stadium in London will begin at 9:30 a.m. Michigan time.
That's a 2:30 p.m. kickoff in London.
The Lions played in that same time slot this past season in a nationally televised game against the Atlanta Falcons from London. Detroit rallied from a 21-point deficit to win 22-21 on a last-second field goal.
The morning telecast back in the United States was a success and the league has decided to schedule more of them for the games being played overseas.
The Lions are still playing their normal eight-game home schedule at Ford Field in Detroit.
Kansas City is considered the host in London and, therefore, will be giving up a home game. That's a big advantage for the Lions because the Chiefs historically have had a good home-field advantage at Arrowhead Stadium.
