Lil Wayne and Jamie Foxx are on Damian Lillard's new rap album
Latest in the long line of NBA players moonlighting as rappers (or is it the other way around?) is Blazers guard Damian Lillard, who’s enlisted some high-profile help for assists on his new album, The Letter O, which came out late Thursday night.
The first song on the album – which this author has not listened to yet — is called “Bill Walton,” which is cool at face value because it means someone named a song after Bill Walton. Lillard, excuse me, Dame D.O.L.L.A., runs through the trials and tribulations of his career on the album and scores features from Lil Wayne and Jamie Foxx, but more importantly, Juvenile, among others. You can listen to it here.
But anyway, other NBA players are openly endorsing this album on Twitter, including LeBron James and Dwyane Wade.
Don’t read a review of it, just listen to it, because Extra Mustard endorses Juvenile, and so by association, we endorse Dame. At least, I do. The NBA season starts on Tuesday. Damian Lillard raps better than Shaq. Welcome to 2016.
