Lewis still in charge in Cinci

Head coach Marvin Lewis still has control of his team, on the field and in the locker room, despite a losing, last-place record at 2-6 and the lack of a new deal from the Bengals.

Lewis, in the final year of his contract, pulled from the field on Monday receiver Chad Ochocinco and right tackle Andre Smith in separate instances of holding accountability sessions with key offensive performers during the loss to Pittsburgh.

The coach said it was his way of getting his players to maintain better focus during the game's most important plays for Cincinnati.

Ochocinco was brought to the sideline after spiking the football following a fourth-quarter snap which drew a flag. Ochocinco's penalty was declined by Pittsburgh (the Steelers took the bigger penalty on the play).
