LeBron James is bringing his talents to ... Columbus?
OK, the two-time NBA champion is not going to be playing for Ohio State, but he now has a locker in the Buckeyes' new basketball locker room.
Ohio State has added the locker with James' name and hometown for several reasons -- one of which is that the team has a large supply of team-branded LBJ material.
The locker will display all of the Ohio State/LBJ products, especially during official visits by potential recruits.
Ohio State men's basketball coach Thad Matta says the display is because James has done a lot for the Buckeyes program. OSU was the first program to wear LBJ brand uniforms.
As for "The Chosen One" contributing at Ohio State?
"He's going to have to earn his stripes," Matta said.
