Losing's never easy. When a defeat means the end of your college career, it only amplifies the level of emotion.

The bonds formed between player and coach are often unbreakable, which Xavier head coach Chris Mack and senior Matt Stainbrook showed Thursday night.

Stainbrook was a beast, notching a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds in 34 minutes. No shame for he and Xavier losing to a team that's 34-3 on the season.

So impressed was former Xavier boss -- and now Arizona head coach -- Sean Miller that he expressed respect for his old home.

Never short is March in the unifying factor of do-or-die basketball.
