Lakers honor 1972 Championship team at half

At halftime of the Lakers' game against the Houston Rockets, the Lakers held a special 40th anniversary ceremony to honor the 1972 Championship team.

Winners of 33 straight games, the longest winning streak in professional sports history, the 1971-72 Lakers squad posted a then all-time NBA best 69-13 regular season mark and brought the Lakers their first championship since moving from Minneapolis to Los Angeles.

Elgin Baylor, Bill Berkta, Jim Cleamons, LeRoy Ellis, Keith Erickson, Marge Hearn representing Chick Hearn, Gail Goodrich, Barbara Lewis representing Wilt Chamberlain, Jim McMillian, Bill Sharman, Lynn Shackelford, Pat Riley, Flynn Robinson and Jerry West were honored.
