There were plenty of local players who have been selected to participate in all star games throughout the country. Three of the biggest games took place over the weekend and all were televised nationally. Here are a few of the stars who stood out in those games.
The weekend kicked off Friday in Tampa with the Under Armour All-America Game. Long Beach Poly cornerback Iman "Biggie" Marshall, widely considered the top cover cornerback in the country, further proved what Poly head coach Antonio Pierce had been saying all season long: He's a football player.
Marshall took pride in special teams with the Jackrabbits and showed that in Tampa with a couple of special teams tackles. Once all was said and done, he finished with five tackles while playing superb in pass coverage.
Marshall's teammate, Corona Santiago quarterback Blake Barnett, threw a touchdown pass for Team Highlight in what ended up being a rout, 46-6, over Team Armour.
On Saturday in San Antonio at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl there may not have been a player as impactful as Mater Dei linebacker Ben Humphreys. The Duke commit seemed to be all over the field. He had a pick-six for the West and also a sack, forced, and recovered a fumble. Orange Lutheran's Keisean Lucier-South also recorded a sack.
With this being the Year of the Quarterback, there were plenty from California in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. So many quarterbacks that San Clemente's Sam Darnold had to suit up for the East squad.
For the West, Hart's Brady White, St. Bonaventure's Ricky Town, and Servite's Travis Waller each threw a touchdown pass.
Darnold threw one for the East as well. He was 6-of-7 in the game for 89 yards with a touchdown and a pick.
Westlake kicker Kevin Robledo had a busy day for the West squad with three point after attempts and two field goals. His 25-yarder with less than two minutes left proved to be huge as the West held off an East rally for the 39-36 win.

Los Alamitos' Blake Johnson handled the punting for the West.
Sunday, the Semper Fidelis All-Americans took center stage at StubHub Center. Although, not local, Florida's Tristan Payton, a USC commit was named game MVP with a pair of touchdown receptions.
Defensive lineman Noah Jefferson from Las Vegas, another USC commit, had a game high two sacks in the game that was seen on FOX Sports 1.
