Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving suffered a left biceps injury in the second quarter of Sunday's 102-80 loss at the Los Angeles Clippers and did not return.

Irving, who left the Staples Center with his arm in a sling, is scheduled to be examined Monday at the Cleveland Clinic.

The third-year point guard has played in 54 of the Cavs' 57 games. He missed three with a knee contusion in January.

Irving leads the Cavs in scoring (20.2 ppg) and assists (6.3 apg), and was named MVP of the All-Star Game in February. The Cavs are 1-2 without Irving this season.

He finished Sunday's game with two points on 0-for-5 shooting in 10 minutes.

Luol Deng scored 23 points to lead the Cavs, and Dion Waiters added 15 off the bench.
