Kyle Busch kicked off All-Star weekend with a trip to victory lane in Friday night's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Busch dominated early in the race, but a costly pit road penalty on lap 84 of 134 dropped him deep in the pack. However, Busch made quick work of the field and ultimately moved into the lead with 14 to go to capture his 113th win in NASCAR's top three series.

"We sure do like to make it interesting, don't we?" Busch said."We had to work our way back and I wasn't sure I was going to make it all the way back."

Surprisingly, it was Busch's first Camping World Truck Series victory in more than a year and a half, with his last trip to victory lane coming at New Hampshire in 2011.

Trailing Busch at the line was series regular Brendan Gaughan, who scored his third straight top five finish. Max Gresham scored his best career finish in third with Matt Crafton and Ty Dillon rounding out the top five.
