Kings recall defenseman Slava Voynov

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings have announced that defenseman Slava Voynov has been recalled from Manchester (AHL) and forward Andrei Loktionov has been assigned to Manchester, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today:

Voynov, 22, has 11 points (4-7=11), eight penalty minutes and a plus-4 rating in 26 games with the Kings (his first season in the NHL).  Among NHL rookie defensemen Voynov is tied for eighth in points, tied for second in goals and tied for 10th in assists.  The 5-11, 199-pound native of Chelyabinsk, Russia has also played in 15 games with Manchester this season, recording four points (2-2=4) and four penalty minutes.  Voynov was originally selected by the Kings in the second round (32nd overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.  

Loktionov, 21, has seven points (3-4=7) and two penalty minutes in 39 games with the Kings this season.  The 5-10, 179-pound native of Voskresensk, Russia has also played in 17 games with Manchester this season, recording 14 points (3-11=14) and eight penalty minutes.  Loktionov was originally selected by the Kings in the fifth round (123rd overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
