Kevin Love suffers eye injury in Cavs' win over Heat
CLEVELAND -- Cavaliers forward Kevin Love suffered a right corneal abrasion during Wednesday's 113-93 win over the Miami Heat.
Love will travel with the Cavs to Chicago for Thursday's game and be re-evaluated there.
The injury occurred with 9:48 left in third quarter when Love was accidentally poked in the right eye by Heat guard Mario Chalmers as the two chased a rebound. Love walked to the Cavs bench, covering his face in obvious pain. He fell to the ground before led the Cavs' locker room by team doctors.
Love finished with 12 points and six rebounds, as the Cavs (33-21) won for the 14th time in 15 games.
The 6-foot-10 power forward is averaging 17.1 points and 10.5 rebounds in 51 games this season.
In recent days, Love has been dragged into a confusing social media storm after James posted a message on Twitter that was directed at him. Now, Love's dealing with an injury that had him trying on goggles in the locker room.
