Kevin Goheen Joins FOXSportsOhio.com
FOX Sports Ohio is pleased to announce the addition
of KEVIN GOHEEN to the www.FoxSportsOhio.com team. Goheen
brings more than 15 years of journalism experience to FOXSportsOhio.com, where
he will cover Southwestern Ohio teams as a sports reporter, analyst and
commentator.
Goheen will provide fans with comprehensive analysis of the
Cincinnati Reds as well as the Bengals, Cincinnati Bearcats, Xavier Musketeers,
Dayton Flyers and prep sports with features and columns on a daily basis.
Goheen
has spent the past five years working as a freelance writer based in
Cincinnati. He has written for regional and national outlets, including the
Cincinnati Enquirer, Cincy Magazine, Dallas Morning News, Philadelphia
Inquirer, Akron Beacon Journal, Boston Herald, MLB.com and ESPN New York.
He broke into the business in 1998 as a stringer for the Cincinnati Post and
was eventually hired full-time to cover high schools in 2001. Goheen became the
paper’s beat writer chronicling the Bengals late in the 2001 season and held
that position until the Post closed its doors on Dec. 31, 2007. He has covered
four Super Bowls and as well as Major League Baseball postseason games, NCAA
basketball tournament games and countless high school events that bring more
meaning and significance to those communities than any professional team could.
Goheen was born and raised in Cincinnati and is a graduate of Roger Bacon High
School. He has a degree in business administration from Bowling Green State
University, where he was also a member of the track & field and cross
country teams. He received his BA in journalism from Northern Kentucky University.
