Kevin Durant has experienced a very successful basketball career thus far, becoming one of the best players in the world and now the Thunder star is look to make his mark in another area— as a restaurant owner.

Durant has partnered up with the Hal Smith Restaurant Group to create a new restaurant in Oklahoma City's Bricktown area called KD's Southern Cuisine featuring southern-style food such as chicken fried steak, barbecued pork ribs, chicken and waffles and collard greens.

Regular menu items range from just under $10 to $25 and the restaurant will also feature a "Baller's Menu" with $50-plus menu items such as tenderloin medallions, New York Strip and rib-eye cuts. And so far, from the reviews that have come in from local food critics and social media users, Durant's new restaurant is likely going to be a hit in Oklahoma City.

One of the best features mentioned about the restaurant is the menu, which is backlit when opened so it be easily read in the dark and subdued lighting within the building.

Along with the subtle Thunder-color theme with photos of Durant as the decor, KD's Southern Cuisine also features a two-story wine room and art from former NBA player Desmond Mason.

As if all that wasn't enough for one restaurant, Durant's new business venture will also include his own personal dining room complete with a DJ, and yes, the private room can be rented out if the Thunder star doesn't have dibs for a particular evening.

KD's Southern Cuisine is open 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday with Sunday hours of 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
