EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — Matt Kalil's rookie season with the Minnesota Vikings has earned him a trip to Hawaii.

Kalil, a left tackle taken with the No. 4 overall pick in last year's draft, has been named to the Pro Bowl to replace injured Washington Redskins tackle Trent Williams.

Kalil started all 16 games in his first season with the Vikings and lived up to the expectations that came with being a high draft pick.

Kalil is the second Vikings rookie to make the Pro Bowl, joining kicker Blair Walsh on the NFC squad. Other Vikings who will play in Sunday's Pro Bowl include defensive end Jared Allen, fullback Jerome Felton, linebacker Chad Greenway, running back Adrian Peterson and tight end Kyle Rudolph. Kalil, Greenway and Rudolph are replacement additions.
