Kaepernick in a Favre jersey? It happened
GREEN BAY, Wis. — Two decades before eliminating the Green Bay Packers from the playoffs and leading his team to the Super Bowl, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick was just another kid from Wisconsin.
Kaepernick was born in Milwaukee and lived in Fond du Lac, about an hour north of Milwaukee, until he was 4 years old. He then moved to California. But sometime after Brett Favre became the Packers' starting quarterback in 1992, Kaepernick apparently made a trip to Lambeau Field.
The proof is the above picture, provided by Kaepernick representative XAM Sports, in which Kaepernick (on the right) is posing outside Lambeau Field in a Favre jersey. The picture must dredge up all kinds of nightmares for Packers fans, who are still getting over a tough separation with Favre and who had to watch a native son dismantle their team two weeks ago.
It's been well-documented that Kaepernick, 25, wrote a letter to himself while in fourth grade predicting he'd grow up to play quarterback for the Packers or 49ers. For one weekend at least, Packers fans wish that prediction hadn't come true, and seeing pictures like this can't help the healing process.
