Justin Thomas went lower — to par — than any player in U.S. Open history.

The 24-year-old from Louisville, Kentucky, shot a stunning 9-under 63 at Erin Hills on Saturday to take the clubhouse lead at 11-under, 205 with many players still on the course for the third round.

Thomas had six birdies on his opening nine as he went out in 31, five-under.

The sizzling shooting continued on the back nine as he added three birdies and an eagle on 18 to complete the back nine in 32 strokes.

The only blemishes on the round were bogeys on the fourth and 10th holes.

No player had shot 9-under par in the Open prior to Saturday.

Johnny Miller shot a 63 in the final round at Oakmont 44 years ago on this date in 1973. That score was 8-under as the course was a party 71.

Thomas' Saturday score was just the fifth 63 in U.S. Open history. The last player to accomplish the feat was Vijay Singh in 2003 at Olympia Fields.

Erin Hills is a par 72.
