Journalist/cricket fan eats chilies on air after Twitter promise

Here's another example of social media coming back to haunt someone.

Lachlan Forsyth is a reporter for "Campbell Live," a New Zealand news program.

Before Saturday's cricket match between New Zealand and India, he got very bold and very cocky and posted the following tweet:

Dear @BLACKCAPS. If you can pull this off, I will eat these insanity peppers as tribute. pic.twitter.com/m7PEYvX8mZ

Forsyth stuck to his word, and two days later, with two Black Caps players by his side, he ate three chili peppers.

The results were not pretty.
