Jones delivers big-time performance

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- He set a Landry list of Oklahoma records this season, and sophomore Landry Jones added another in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl with his 429-yard effort, a school record for passing yards in a bowl game.

The record he broke was his own, set last year with 418 yards in a Sun Bowl victory over Stanford.

Jones also threw for three scores in the Sooners' 48-20 victory over UConn to end a five-game BCS bowl game losing streak, and he finished two short of Sam Bradford's 2008 school season record of 4,720 passing yards.

And while he may not show it outwardly, Jones is as confident as he is good.
