Despite a career-threatening ankle injury, running back Stafon Johnson remains undaunted that football will remain a part of his life.
Johnson suffered a dislocated ankle and fractured fibula in Saturday night's 20-18 preseason loss at Seattle, and appeared in the locker room Tuesday on crutches and with a large cast on the leg.
He spoke to the media for the first time since his surgery on Sunday and remains unwavering in his quest to continue to play football.
After all, it was nearly a year ago that his life hung in the balance after a weightlifting accident at Southern California crushed his larynx and windpipe, requiring emergency surgery to save his life.
