Joan Rivers was the guest ring announcer at WrestleMania 2

Trailblazing comedian Joan Rivers passed away at 81 on Thursday, one week after suffering cardiac arrest during a throat procedure in New York City.

The legendary Rivers began her career in the late '50s and worked the night before her surgery. She performed stand-up in Manhattan and even joked about going in for the routine operation the following day.

Rivers may not have many connections to sports, but she was one of the celebrities who appeared at WrestleMania 2 on April 7, 1986. That year, the then-WWF held WrestleMania at three differnet venues. Rivers handled guest ring announcer duties for the event at the Nassau Coliseum.

Rivers also starred in his hilarious "audition" for NBC's Sunday Night Football in 2013.
