Jets hand out 'Media Bridges' cards to players
By Andy Nesbitt, FOXSports.com Thank goodness for the New York Jets. While they might not be great at competing for Super Bowl titles, when it comes to "how-can-we-make-ourselves-look-silly titles" nobody beats the J-E-T-S JETS! JETS! JETS! The latest example? New York Daily News reporter Manish Mehta tweeted out two photos of "Media Bridges" cards that the team recently handed out to each player. These cards are designed to help the players deal with the media and answer questions in a way that will keep them off the back pages of the New York tabloids. (UPDATE:ProFootballTalk.com reports that Jets RB Joe McKnight gave his card to Seth Walder of the New York Daily News, who then gave it to his colleague, Mehta.) Here is the front of the card:

While we think those tips should help the Jets (yeah, right), we have a few more suggestions to add to their fancy cards: 1. I think Mark Sanchez is a great quarterback because ... 2. Buttfumbles may look funny on TV but what you don't know about buttfumbles is that ... 3. Rex Ryan always makes a lot of sense, especially when ... 4. We're just going to take it one NFL draft at a time ... 5. You guys in the media are always fun to deal with, especially after a loss because ... 6. Enough about me, let's talk about what you guys like to do ... 7. Does anyone want any gum? ... 8. Hey, what's that over there? (then run out of locker room) ... 9. How good is Breaking Bad? ... 10. At least we don't have Tim Tebow on the team anymore ... (H/T NFL.com) Questions? Comments? Send them to lacesoutmail@gmail.com and we might respond in our weekly mailbag!
