Can it get any worse for New York Jets fans? They have suffered in the depths of NFL hell in 2013 … and it may have just got a bit more embarrassing. They lost their franchise cornerback to a season-ending injury (Darrelle Revis), starting quarterback to inconsistent play (Mark Sanchez), backup quarterback to who knows what (Tim Tebow), die-hard fan (Fireman Ed) and most recently became a punchline on FOX NFL Sunday as our funnyman Rob Riggle took a shot at Woody Johnson’s Gang Green. “The Mayans got it wrong. The world didn’t end. Unless you’re a Jets fan,” Riggle quipped in front of a national audience. The 2012 season, one which had so much promise in Cortland, NY for Jets’ training camp, has bottomed out and it’s likely that a massive transformation will begin in the offseason.
