James White: Pro Day presents another opportunity

Pro Day is another opportunity for me to showcase my talents, as well as my other teammates. There will be quite a few of us at Pro Day so it will be a lot of fun.

I think I did pretty well at the combine so I'm glad I don't have to repeat any of the drills. I can go out and just do position drills and do maximum effort and show teams what I have to offer.

I didn't have any formal interviews at the combine. I pretty much talked with scouts and running back coaches. It was good conversations, going on the field and drawing up plays, asking about my family life and how I grew up, things like that. Nothing too crazy. It was a great experience and I had a lot of fun at the combine. I'm glad I got that invitation and I didn't take it for granted.

The Senior Bowl was a great experience, too, going out and competing against the best seniors across the country. I'm glad I went out to compete against guys, got to meet new friends and do the community service. It was a lot of fun and a great experience.

There are a lot of questions about whether I can block or be an every-down back, so I just use that as motivation and go out there and prove I can be an every-down back each and every day I step on the field.

You listen to the feedback a little bit, but at the same time you never really know what is going happen. I think I helped myself out though with my Senior Bowl performance and my performance at the combine, so hopefully it all works out.

There's definitely a comfort factor being at Pro Day in Madison. It's one last time to go out there and show what I have in our indoor facility. Your teammates share in it all and there's a lot of eyes on you, so it should be fun.

It definitely feels different, though. It felt like I was gone for a while but to get back and see some of the younger guys and see how they stepped into new roles and how they stepped into leadership roles plus see all the guys trying to play at the next level, it's definitely a fun experience. It is a little weird being on campus and not having to go to class, but it is a great experience and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

I'm just expecting to work hard at Pro Day. I'll be the only running back, so I'll go out there, be in good shape and have fun with it. It'll be great, all eyes on me.
