Jam session: Victor Oladipo confirmed as one of four dunk contest participants
Confirming what was first reported a week ago, the NBA announced Tuesday night that Orlando Magic guard Victor Oladipo will be among the four participants in the Slam Dunk contest next month during All-Star Weekend.
Oladipo will compete against Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks, Zach LaVine of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Mason Plumlee of the Brooklyn Nets the night of Feb. 14 at the Barclays Center in New York. Oladipo participated in the Skills Challenge during last year's festivities as a rookie.
Though Oladipo has had several remarkable 360-degree dunks this season, his total of 22 dunks is only third on the Magic behind Nikola Vucevic (41) and Tobias Harris (35).
The contest was first held in 1984. The only member of the Magic to ever win it was Dwight Howard in 2008.
