MIAMI (AP) -- Miami Dolphins left tackle Jake Long watched the second quarter of Sunday's game against New England with a bag of ice on his left arm. By the second half, he wore street clothes.
Long was sidelined by a triceps injury. He underwent X-rays after the game, but the team didn't release the results.
Last year Long went on injured reserve before the final game because of a torn right biceps, but was chosen a Pro Bowl starter for the third consecutive year.
Rookie Jonathan Martin moved from right tackle to replace Long and won favorable reviews from teammates.
"Making a big shift like that is stressful, but he made the transition well," guard Richie Incognito said.
The Dolphins lost 23-16.
