JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- The Jacksonville Jaguars have released veteran wide receiver Lee Evans.

Evans signed as a free agent with the Jaguars in April after he was released a month earlier by Baltimore. He played seven seasons with the Buffalo Bills before joining the Ravens in 2011.

He has 381 receptions for 6,008 yards and 43 touchdowns in his eight-year career.

Evans' two best seasons came in 2006 and 2008. He had career highs in 2006 when he caught 82 passes for 1,292 yards, and had 63 catches for 1,017 yards in 2008. He has 14 career 100-yard receiving games.

Evans and Laurent Robinson signed as free agents this offseason. While Robinson has become the team's top receiver, Evans saw limited action.

The team also waived-injured third-year wide receiver Taylor Price.
