Jags sign kicker, linebacker, defensive tackle
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- The Jacksonville
Jaguars have signed place-kicker Sam Swank, linebacker JoJo Dickson and
defensive tackle David Howard.
The first-year players will help the Jaguars get through veteran orientation beginning Tuesday.
Place-kicker Josh Scobee, linebacker
Paul Posluszny and defensive tackles Terrance Knighton and Tyson Alualu
will miss the workouts. Scobee (franchise tag) is not under contract.
Posluszny (shoulder), Knighton (eye) and Alualu (knee) are recovering
from injuries. Cornerback Rashean Mathis and defensive ends Aaron
Kampman and John Chick also will sit out the sessions.
Howard, a seventh-round draft pick by
Tennessee in 2010, has spent time with Oakland and Seattle. Swank has
been with Philadelphia, Cincinnati, the New York Giants and the Jaguars
since entering the league in 2009. Dickson spent a week in
Jacksonville's training camp last year.
