ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Back in the gym at the earliest time of his career in the offseason, Stephen Jackson is determined to become a leaner and more focused leader of the Charlotte Bobcats.
Jackson is in Orlando working out as mostly undrafted rookies fight to make the Bobcats' summer league team. Jackson says he's driven by his struggles in a first-round sweep to Orlando in the Bobcats' first playoff appearance, saying he wasn't focused in Game 4.
Jackson indicated Friday he's been working out for a couple weeks, the earliest he's returned to the court in his 10-year career. It's in part because he agrees with coach Larry Brown that he needs to lose 10-15 pounds.
