The matchup will
feature two Heisman Trophy winners and while Jackson remains fourth on
the all-time SEC rushing list with 4,303 yards, Newton led Auburn to a
national championship, something Jackson never did.
In the defense's Neyland Region, Tennessee's Reggie
White, the fourth seed, knocked off top-seeded Glenn Dorsey (LSU). He'll
advance to face No. 10 seed Patrick Willis (Ole Miss), the
highest-remaining seed on the bracket. Wilis knocked off Alabama's
Cornelius Bennett, the sixth seed.
Voting in the
Vaught and Neyland regional finals will run from Oct. 23-Oct.
29.
