The number one pops up as a key theme to many of the Indians' games last week. There was the one that got away on Tuesday in Arizona, Josh Tomlin's one hitter on Saturday in Seattle and Felix Hernandez holding the Tribe to one hit on Sunday.
All of it adds up to what was a losing week for the Indians as they are 2-3 two series into their eight-game road trip. Going into last week, Cleveland had spent 22 straight days where they had been within two games (above or below) the .500 mark. That streak ended with the loss to the Diamondbacks in 14 innings. It also marks the third straight losing week for the Tribe.
After Sunday's loss to the Mariners, the Tribe find themselves 39-42 at the midway point, 6 ½ games behind Detroit in the AL Central and 4 ½ back in the Wild Card race.

GAME OF THE WEEK
Tomlin's complete game one-hitter was the first by an Indians pitcher since 2003 and helped him bounce back after rough outings against the Angels (June 17) and Tigers (June 22). The right-hander, who had a career-high 11 strikeouts, has proven to be a better pitcher on the road. He is 3-2 with a 2.67 ERA away from home compared to 2-3, 4.99 at Progressive Field.
BASERUNNING BLUNDERS
There were two this week -- Jason Kipnis trying to attempt an inside-the-park home run on Tuesday and Nick Swisher trying to go from first to third on Friday. Kipnis was trying to make an aggressive play in an extra-inning game but we still continue to second guess it based on how winded he was rounding third. Swisher never looked up to see what was going on and was an easy target.
GOOD WEEK
Michael Bourn was 8 for 24 and has a hit in seven of the past eight games. ... Yan Gomes had two home runs this week and drove in five runs. ... Kipnis, who struggled in the recent homestand, was 7 for 22 with four doubles.
BAD WEEK
David Murphy was hitless in 12 at-bats with five strikeouts. ... Asdrubal Cabrera was 1 for 17. ... Mark Rzepczynski made three appearances and gave up two earned runs in three innings along with six hits.

Of note: Indians are 6-5 in interleague play this year while the Dodgers are 7-4. Los Angeles leads the series 4-2 but Cleveland took two of three in its only trip to Dodger Stadium in 2008.
