Is ad in Dayton Daily News taking jab at Ohio State?
"THE University of Dayton" made waves in gracing the cover of The Dayton Daily News following the Flyers' upset win over Ohio State.
In Wednesday's paper, a good luck message sponsored by Miami Valley Gaming acknowledged buckeyes in a not-so-subtle way with its creation of the No. 16 in "Sweet 16."

A number of outlets have circulated the story as the newspaper or MVG taking a jab at Ohio State.
It's important to note that the paper's staff is not rubbing it in this time around. The initial headline, which drew hoards of attention, was on the front page and went along with the story of the Flyers beating the Buckeyes in the second round of the NCAA tournament. The advertisement, on the other hand, MVG presumably paid to take out.
And the ad may not even be taking a jab at the Buckeyes, considering this campaign which features "lucky buckeyes."
At any rate, this isn't stopping the newspaper from continuing to promote their headline.

Greek House, and not The Dayton Daily News, designed the shirt.
All that said, folks in Dayton are having no qualms with making sure the not-so-lucky Buckeyes don't forget who came out on top any time soon.
