Juan Pablo Montoya has a bullseye on his back ... and it's not from his sponsor. It's from the IRS.
According to Forbes Magazine:
The Internal Revenue Service is demanding $2.7 million in extra taxes and penalties from race car driver Juan Pablo Montoya, who, it asserts, had $9.5 million in taxable income in 2007 and 2008, nearly four times the $2.4 million he and his wife reported on their joint tax returns for the two years.
Montoya apparently did some fancy financial maneuvering before moving to the United States in 2007 to start his NASCAR career. The IRS says it's a sham. Montoya and his tax lawyer aren't saying anything.
However, he may want to see if his future IndyCar teammate Helio Castroneves has any advice.
